FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- The third-grader who made it her science fair project to get her dad in shape, is headed to the regional competition next month at IPFW.

Hannah Johnson, a Haverhill Elementary Student, had a creative idea for this year's science fair. Her project titled "Fat Dad Fit Dad" documents her father's diet and exercise.

Johnson's father, Jim, had weekly weigh-ins and blogged about his progress. After two months, he had lost nearly 17 lbs. and the weight is still coming off.

Hannah and her father hope that the project inspires others to get in shape as well.
