UNDATED (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The FBI is on the look for a bank robber dubbed the “Ray Bandit.”

FBI agents say the suspect has help up at least 10 banks across the Midwest. His most recent robbery took place in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Robert Ramsey says he hit two banks in Munster and Hammond, Indiana on August 8th. Ramsey believes he may be a resident of Illinois or Iowa.

The suspect is often spotted wearing Ray Ban-type sunglasses, a beard and either band-aids or thimbles on his finger tips.

He’s described as being a white male, six-feet tall, around 220 lbs. and usually flees the scene in a tan or grayish, older model, Hyundai Elantra with a broken rear passenger tail light.

The robberies have taken place in grocery stores: 2 in Wisconsin, 1 in Iowa, 6 in Illinois, 2 in Indiana and may be behind the robbery in Nebraska.

If anyone has information the authorities are asking that they call 800-CALL-FBI.
