Excise Police Bust 24 At Tractor Pull

TAMPICO, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested 24 people in Jackson County during a truck-and-tractor pull.

According to officials, 17 minors were arrested for illegal consumption or possession of alcohol. Five of the 17 minors were under the age of 18 years old.

Caleb M. Goering, 20, of Salem, was jailed on a preliminary charge of illegal possession of alcohol after he was caught a second time in possession of alcohol by two different excise officers two hours apart. Three other people were charged with providing alcohole to a minor. Three juveniles were ticketed for posession of tobacco.

Officials also say Joseph G. Spencer, 28, of Scottsburg, was jailed on a preliminary charge of possession of a controlled substance (Schedule II and Schedule IV).

One person was also arrested on a felony drug charge.
