FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department is reporting the driver of a fire truck that rolled off the road at Butler and Hillegas Sunday evening, has died.

26-year-old Mark A. Haudenschild, II, of Fort Wayne, was trapped underneath the tanker truck he was driving in when it flipped onto its side and crashed into several utility poles late Sunday evening.

Haudenschild was heading south on Hillegas to a fire on Butler Road when the wter shifted in the truck, causing it to roll southbound on Hillegas, making contact with three utility poles.

Power was knocked out to about 300 customers in the area of the accident.

According to Indiana Michigan Power, service has been restored to the 300-plus customers who lost power after Sunday night's emergency vehicle crash at the corner of Hillegas and Butler Roads.
