Election Board Meets To Discuss Ways To Make Voting Easier

January 23, 2014 Updated Jan 23, 2014 at 5:08 PM EST

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) -- Allen County is making it easier for voters to cast their ballot in 2015. The election board met Thursday to discuss changes for upcoming elections.

Changes include rearranging precinct locations as well as adding some new technology. Allen County has had early satellite voting in previous elections, but now you won't have to go far.

"The satellites would be locations that would be more localized out in the county," Director of Elections Beth Dlug said. "So we would have one for instance out in the northwest, southwest, northeast, and southeast locations, so it'd be easier for some people to get to those, they're a little bit closer to their homes than downtown."

Early satellite voting won't begin until 2015 because of a lack of funding this year.
