Officers told Indiana's NewsCenter the victims were driving a dark green Ford Taurus heading north of South Park Drive.

Officers also report that the men were being followed by a white mid to late 80's model Oldsmobile.

Both cars turned west onto East Sherwood Terrace, pulled next to each other and began having a conversation.

At some point, that conversation because heated and police said six to eight shots were fired from the Oldsmobile into the Taurus.

The driver of the Taurus then side swiped a parked car and slammed into a nearby tree.
