KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) – A daughter stabs her mother, sending her to the hospital, after a confrontation.

The Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department says the incident happened around 1 p.m. Sunday at a home on the 4400 block of North Sullivan Road in Leesburg.

Authorities say Stephanie Nelson, 28, reportedly stabbed Ada F. Dill, 60, her mother, after an intense conversation in the kitchen.

Officers arrived at the home and found Dill with puncture wounds to her chest.

Dill was taken to PRMC in Fort Wayne in serious condition, and Nelson was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for evaluation.
