Cyclist Struck by Car in Northwest Ohio

MONTPELIER, Ohio (21Alive) – The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-skip crash in Williams County, Ohio that hospitalized one man early Sunday morning.

According to the police report, Troy L. Presnell, 50, of Montpelier, Ohio, was riding his bicycle east on State Route 107 near State Route 15 when he was struck from behind. It occurred between 1:10 a.m. and 1:26 a.m. The other vehicle then left the scene.

Presnell, was transported to Montpelier Hospital and then air lifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne with serious injuries.
