FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Indiana's NewsCenter and the Journal Gazette teams up to take a deep look at the proposed legislation that will overhaul Indiana’s prison system.

As part of the Correcting Corrections special reports we’ll cover everything from statistics that may surprise you, to the cost of an overhaul and who will pay for it.

In Monday’s Journal Gazette article "Packed Prisons Burden Budgets" Ron Shawgo highlights how Indiana’s adult population has more than doubled in the last two decades and how this rapid growth is putting a big strain on budgets.

And Monday night at 5 on Indiana’s NewsCenter Ron will talk about the over capacity of at least half of the state's 24 facilities recorded in 2010 and some of the statistics are amazing.
