FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- More than 35 cyclists joined together today at the Law Enforcement/Firefight Memorial on Wells St. today.

The cyclists are part of the group "Cops Cycling For Survivors", a group that has been riding around the state honoring police officers who have been killed in the line of duty. Today's ceremony took place just before noon. This is the 12th year the group has held ceremonies around the state and it is timely after earlier this month three officer in Indiana died while on duty.

The 13 day bike ride will circle the perimeter of Indiana as the group has several stops planned to honor the fallen.

The group will begin riding up to Angola later today for a dinner and ceremony at Trine University.
