Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - As we edge closer to Christmas, a group of sixth graders at Canterbury Middle School is sending some holiday spirit to our men and women fighting overseas.

On Thursday, students packed dozens of boxes with food, letters, newspapers and even sports items.

They'll be sent to an airbase in Afghanistan along with small toys for the troops to pass out to Afghan children.

This is the second year for the collection but it's extra special to the kids this year because the father of one of the students is a soldier receiving a gift box.
