FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fort Wayne TinCaps game was extra special Wednesday night for an Allen County-Fort Wayne Capital Improvement board member.
Steve Brody was honored by both the City of Fort Wayne and the State of Indiana for his contributions to the community.
Brody was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash, one of Indiana's highest awards, from Gov. Mike Pence, R-Ind. State Rep. Phil GiaQuinta, D-Fort Wayne, presented the award on the govenor's behalf.
Also, Mayor Tom Henry, D-Fort Wayne, issued a proclamation to honor Brody.
"I don't really enjoy recognition, notoriety and stuff like that," a humbled Brody said. "But thanks."
