Boy Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A 9-year-old boy has been hospitalized after the bike he was riding was struck by a car this afternoon.

Fort Wayne Police were called to the 4500 block of South Hanna St. just before 2:00 this afternoon.

According to witnesses, the boy was riding his bike down Sherwood Terrace when he ran a stop sign and was struck by a south bound vehicle on Hanna.

The child was taken to the hospital to be treated for a head injury.
