Boy Gets Leg Run Over By Train

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – A 10-year old boy is injured after his leg was run over by a train near the 3100 block of McDonald Street.

It happened Sunday around 5 p.m. Witnesses told 21Alive two boys were playing on the railroad tracks and one of them tried to jump onto the train, but it was moving too fast.

Witnesses say the boy tripped, landing on the track, and that's when the train ran over his leg.

Initial reports indicate the boy suffered a compound fracture in his leg.
