Body Recovered From St. Marys River Identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The DNR reports a body was discovered Thursday morning in the St. Marys River.

Conservation Officers were investigating reports that a man had fallen into the St. Marys River Tuesday night. They located the body Thursday morning around 9:47 a.m. in the St. Marys River near Headwaters Park. The case is currently being treated as a homicide pending additional information.

The Allen County Coroner identified the man as Robert James Webb, 37, of Fort Wayne.

The cause of death has been ruled an accident.
