INDIANA (www.incnow.tv) -- A Bluffton teen has made it through the preliminary rounds of the Indiana State Fair Vocal Throwdown and now has a one in six chance of taking the title.
The Top 10 finalists in both the Youth and Junior divisions performed on the fair's DISH Main Street Stage this past Saturday. Alyssa Noble, 19, from Bluffton was among the top 10 in the Junior Division (ages 16-21).
The Indiana State Fair’s first-ever Vocal Throwdown competition attracted 164 young singers from around the state. After 17 days of public voting, the top 10 finalists were set for the Aug. 3 performance.
A panel of judges pared down these competitors to five finalists in the Youth Division and six finalists in the Junior Division. Those finalist will perform again on Aug. 10. These performances will also take place on the DISH Main Street Stage with the Youth Division starting at 2 p.m. and the Junior Division at 3 p.m. The winners in each division will receive $500 and a trophy. Second place finishers will receive $250; third place finishers receive $100.
