FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Crowds of people headed downtown this morning for the Barr Street Market.
The original market space expanded to a nearby parking lot to allow more vendors to come and sell their products.
Most of the vendors are from around the area. Some of their products include wine, fresh bread, natural soaps, and of course fresh produce.
For some vendors, the farmers markets are like a test-run for their products.
“A lot of times, people will use the farmers market as a stair step to see if their product is viable enough to go into a store front. But then there are those people who just like to do the farmer’s market and be one on one with that type of clientele,” said Leigh Rowan, Market Coordinator.
Rowan says the "winter" farmers market will kick off in October.
