FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- You probably missed it, but around 2:30 Friday afternoon, an enormous asteroid came the closest to the earth as a space rock that size has ever come!

Asteroid 2012 DA14 whizzed by Earth going 17,400 miles per hour... and closer than satellites orbiting our planet.

But the space rock about the size of half a football field and weighing 143,000 tons could have obliterated 750 square miles if it had hit.

So... if you knew civilization would be wiped out in three days... how would you spend that time?

Mike Bryant tells us, "Well, I'd probably go to Kentucky and see my mom, since she lives there and I don't see her very often. Probably definitely think of some other good stuff along the way if there's only three days left, you know?"

And Eric Carbone says, "I would probably go withdraw all my money from the bank and go have fun. And how would you spend it? On anything, just whatever was fun, you know?"
