FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - A Fort Wayne man has admitted his role in a hold-up of a New Haven gun shop in 2012.

Devonte Travier, 23, pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to felony aiding and abetting and weapons charges related to the Nov. 13, 2012 robbery of Shooters Gun Shop, 660 Lincoln Highway W.

Police say during the robbery, a pistol-whipped a customer and a gun was fired inside the store. The suspects then fled to Fort Wayne and ultimately crashed the getaway car with another vehicle at McKinnie Avenue & South Anthony Boulevard.

Two other men previously pleaded guilty to robbery charges in the case: Craig Whigum and Brent Ennis, both of Fort Wayne.

The customer who was hit at the gun shop was not seriously injured. A passenger in the other vehicle involved in the crash was seriously injured.

Travier's sentencing date has not been set.
