Angola CVS Robbery Suspect Barricades Himself In Adult Novelty Store

COLDWATER, Mich. (21Alive) -- A standoff between police and an Angola robbery suspect ended without injury this afternoon after police chased the suspect over 30 miles.

The suspect allegedly robbed a CVS Pharmacy in Angola around 9:40 this morning and then took off and led police on I-69 northbound until he reached Coldwater. The suspect then exited the vehicle and barricaded himself in an adult novelty store while taking two people hostage.

The standoff ended around 1:00 p.m. without injury. It is believed he took multiple pills while he was barricaded in the store.
