ANDERSON, Ind (NBC33) -- An Anderson woman has been arrested after police say she brought a loaded gun into her child's school, according to WTHR.
Anderson police report that they arrested 27-year-old Bonnie Trahan on Wednesday morning for possession of a firearm on school property. Trahan was at the school for a meeting with school administrators because she felt her child was not safe at school.
During the meeting, Trahan pointed to her back pocket to show how easy it is to bring a gun into the school. She took the gun out of the holster and threw it on the table and said "This is how unsafe the school is, basically, I can bring a gun in," according to those at the meeting.
Trahan claims that she did not mean to bring the gun into the school and that she did not threaten anyone.
After Trahan left the meeting, she was confronted and arrested by Officers from the Anderson Police Department.
She could face up to three years in prison if convicted.
