FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Allen County is among 18 counties in line to be part of a pilot program to study kindergarten education for 4-year-olds.
During this past legislative session, lawmakers gave the green light to fund the program in a five county area. Indiana's Family and Social services administration will determine which counties and how many children can participate in the program, which will be paid for using existing state or federal funds.
Noble, Grant, and Kosciusko Counties are also in the running.
