GRABILL, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The Allen County Plan Commission blocked a proposed housing addition near Grabill.

In a 7-2 vote, plan commissioners rejected Granite Ridge Builder's bid to build Saddle Creek Estates along the 12100 to 12500 blocks of Witmer Road, The Journal Gazette reports.

Much of that part of Allen County is farmland, fields and property owned by Amish.

Granite Ridge's plans included a 102-lot addition with homes prices ranging from $175,000 to $250,000, according to The Journal Gazette.
