Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Students and staff at Aboite Elementary honored all those who have served in the name of freedom in patriotic ways this past Veterans Day.

About two dozen veterans joined hundreds of students and educators on Friday for a Veterans Day assembly in their honor.

First grade teacher Jeanne Holmes said, “I hope that the boys and girls come away with a sense of gratitude for the service of their family members or people in the community who serve in the military."

Air Force Korean War Veteran, Bill Gramm said, “I haven't been in for a long time, but I'm still glad to hear the thank you."

For weeks, the students have been studying the significance of the holiday and working on a Veteran's Wall of Honor, featuring loved ones who have served.
