MARION, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A Marion lawyer is jailed on accusations he bilked some clients.

54 year old Stephen Wolfe was arrested Tuesday evening following a two month investigation.

Police say Wolfe is accused of failing to properly disperse settlement money to three clients in separate cases.

In two of those cases, he also apparently lied to his clients by telling them their cases hadn't been settled yet, then forged their names and took their money for himself.

Wolfe has been preliminarily charged with three counts of forgery and three counts of theft, all of which are felonies.

He was jailed Tuesday night on $10,000 bond.
