ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Doctors living outside Allen County must now register with The Fort Wayne-Allen County Board of Health.

That's because a new patient safety ordinance took effect Tuesday.

It requires physicians who practice in Allen County, but live outside county lines, to provide emergency contact information if their patients develop complications.

The doctors will be charged a $250 fee.
