FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Police are searching for a person of interest in a Sunday shooting on Huestis Avenue.

Detectives say 35-year-old Thomas Howard Manjarez III is a person of interest in the shooting death of 33-year-old Carmen Ramos.

They describe him as a Hispanic man, standing 5’9”, 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say Ramos had a protective order against him.

Family members say the woman was found shot to death in an apartment at 1307 Huestis Avenue around 6:30 Sunday night.

Police say there was a history of domestic violence involving the victim and there had been an protective order against Manjarez, however it was not active at the time of the shooting.

Incidentally, Manjarez was arrested on January 3rd in a hit and run with injuries.

If you know where he is, call CrimeStoppers, anonymously, at 436-STOP.
