Advanced Assembly Adding Jobs In Columbia City

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - In a sign that the local economy might be turning around, a third shift and more than 100-jobs are coming to northeast Indiana.

According to our partner in news, the Journal Gazette, Advanced Assembly has already started hiring for 114-new jobs.

The major supplier for Allen County's General Motors Assembly Plant is adding a third production shift. In time for GM's adding a 700-person third shift by mid-May.

Advanced Assembly makes seats for the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, assembled at Fort Wayne's GM plant.
