FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A young Fort Wayne mother will stand trial in June for allegedly harming her infant.

20-year-old Tiffany Otten and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Joshua Johnson are each charged with neglect of a dependent.

The Class-B felony charges come after Emergency Room doctors found Otten's 7-month-old son had two skull fractures and required immediate brain surgery.

Otten and Johnson first said the baby fell off a bed, then tried to blame the injury on the boy's two-year-old brother.

But experts say the injuries are consistent with a "significant amount of force."

Otten will stand trial on June 16th, she faces up to 20-years in prison if she's convicted.
