Governor Rethinking Some Budget Cuts

INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Governor Mitch Daniels is rethinking some budget cuts he proposed earlier.

The Governor had wanted to cut the budget for state inspections of meat processors by half.

That prompted several complaints to his office stating cuts so severe would drive some plants out of business and hurt small livestock farms.

The Governor is now proposing to cut the meat and poultry inspection program less than 50-percent.
