FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - One area woman inspired by a story she saw here on Indiana’s NewsCenter is making a difference in the community.
Pastor Patti Jimerson says after watching our report on the increasing need for women's shelters, she opened "Vessel House," a home providing shelter for single women.
Jimerson says the facility is home to six-women who are recovering from life hindering problems.
Executive Director of the Vessel House Patti Jimerson says, “It's been one of the most rewarding things I've ever known. I have 17 women now that actually do qualify to come in here and currently we only have two beds. So the need is still great.”
