4 Dead, 2 Injured In Indianapolis House Fire

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind (21Alive) -- Four people have died and another two have been critically injured in a house fire this morning on Indianapolis' near east side.

RTV6 reports that fire personnel responded shortly after 9 a.m. and that crews had to stay on the scene for an hour to get control of the flames.

IFD crews said a 40-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman, and two children died in the fire. Two other children have been hospitalized for smoke inhalation, they are listed in critical condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
