NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The owners of a New Haven eatery are celebrating their economic prosperity, which they credit to Fort Wayne's smoking ban.
Rack 'n Helen’s has re-opened after a $1.5 million expansion and renovation.
The owners say they needed more space to accommodate the new customers that have started eating there since Fort Wayne’s smoking ban took affect last year.
Owner Pat Anderson says, “They sent out a survey it come back that the people wanted to smoke 21 and over. Disregarded it. I never seen a council so closed minded.”
Pat Anderson says he hopes city council reconsiders the ban.
