3-Year-Old Nearly Drowned at Bixler Lake

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a near-drowning that occurred at Bixler Lake in Noble County early Saturday evening.

Officials say a 3 year old boy was swimming at the west beach with family and friends.

The reason is not apparent, but the boy went under water. According to officials, he was quickly located by a nearby swimmer and pulled from the water unresponsive.

CPR was performed on the boy until the medics arrived. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
