BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (21Alive) -- A home has a hole in it after a 29-year-old driver lost control of his truck and smashed through a wall.

Just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, a 2012 GMC pickup truck was traveling westbound on SR 48 approaching Kirby Rd. at a high rate of speed.

The driver, Nicholas Sexton, 29 of Bloomington, lost control at the intersection and traveled off the road to the south, ultimately crashing into the home at 130 S. Kirby Rd.

There was no one home at the time of the crash.

Sexton was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. He was cited for speed too fast to avoid a collision.
