2 Young Raccoons Shot In Trash Can At Canterbury Green

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control is searching for information about two men who they say were seen shooting into a trash container where two young raccoons were trapped.

It happened on July 20 at around 2 p.m. in the 2300 block of Abbey Dr. in Canterbury Green Apartments.

Animal Care & Control says they shot and severely injured both animals. Ultimately the shelter had to put the two young raccoons down.

Animal Care & Control describes the shooters as white males in their late teens/early twenties.
