2 Men Rob Family Video, Steal Victim's Car

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Family Video on E. State Blvd. was robbed at gunpoint Thursday and the robbers fled the scene in a car belonging to one of the victims.

Police responded to the scene and found a witness and two other people at the store. The store employee told police that a two armed men came in and one of them ordered him to empty the register and then asked about a safe. The victim told the man there wasn't a safe and then the man ordered him and a customer that was in the store to lay on the floor of the game room.

The robber then asked one of the victim's to give them his car keys and wallet, went outside and came back in asking how to start the car and then both suspects fled in the victim's car.

The witness told police he has just pulled into the parking lot and was headed into the building to return a video when a male came running from the store carrying a bag. The witness told police that the man almost bumped into him and responded to the witnesses "sorry" comment with a "no problem".

Then another man ran from the building and they both got into a vehicle and left the parking lot headed westbound, according to the witness.

The suspects are described as both males and approximately 5'10". One man was approximately 180 lbs wearing a blue hoodie, black jeans, a black mask and gloves. The other was described as about 200 lbs wearing a black hoodie, jeans, a black mask and gloves.
