FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Fort Wayne Police have charged two men in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred Saturday on McDonald St.
Augustus Marshall, 27 and Jose Lopez, 23, are charged with shooting and killing Antonio Galvan III, 28, Saturday in the 3000 block of McDonald St. Medics pronounced Galvan dead at the scene.
Marshall and Lopez were the subjects of a vehicle pursuit later that morning after a disturbance was reported at the Sunoco gas station on Coldwater. Police were informed that the suspects had fired at the gas station and the station clerk provided a description of the vehicle.
A specialty unit spotted the suspects vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop but the vehicle fled and a pursuit ensued. The suspects crashed the vehicle into a car parked in a driveway and then fled on foot.
Police followed footprints in the snow to a home on Brown St. where the female resident alerted them that there were two intruders inside. Police found Marshall and Lopez hiding inside the home and they were taken into custody.
