KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrest two overnight and are still looking for a third individual after a foot pursuit Friday morning.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Drug Task Force officers went to the location of 5790 South Maple Grove Lane, Warsaw, last evening in an attempt to locate Thomas Edward Skeens, 43, Claypool, and Gregory Price Scott, 48, Warsaw, on active warrants.
Prior to the officers’ arrival, Skeens had left the area, but deputies did locate Scott along with a female identified as Carrie Ann Faas-Sechrist, 40, South Whitley. Faas-Sechrist was found to have an outstanding failure to appear warrant from Kosciusko County on the original charge of possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Scott was arrested on the Whitley County warrant for nonsupport of a dependent/child. D.T.F. officers also located finished methamphetamine on Scott who was subsequently also charged with dealing/manufacturing methamphetamine.
Kosciusko County officers were provided information this morning that led them to the Miami-Wabash County Line Road just south of the community of Disko, in Fulton County off of State Road 114. Skeens reportedly had gotten his vehicle stuck in high water and was visible as officers approached the scene.
Skeens immediately fled the vehicle on foot westbound through a field and then into a wooded area. The scene was taken over by the Miami County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police from Peru Post, who established a perimeter and brought in canine units. ISP eventually terminated the search without locating Skeens.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Friday Kosciusko County officers located Skeens after they received an anonymous tip from a citizen.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department currently has two active warrants for Skeens’ arrest which include misdemeanor battery and felony possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Additional charges of fleeing/eluding law enforcement could possibly be issued from Miami County.
Gregory Price Scott’s bond is currently set at $10,000 with a no bond hold from Whitley County. Carrie Ann Faas-Sechrist’s bond is currently set at $25,000.
