Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Around 8:14 a.m. Tuesday, Fort Wayne Police responded to a call of a suspected robbery at the CVS store on St. Joe Center Rd.

The suspect, 24-year-old Brandon A. Peters of Fort Wayne, was armed with a handgun and demanded Opana from the pharmacy employee before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Within minutes, an off-duty officer located the Peters' vehicle on Wheelock Road and began a pursuit.

The chase continued for nearly twelve-minute at speeds reaching 95-miles-an-hour until the Allen County Sheriff Department had deployed Stop-Sticks along the anticipated escape route of the Peters' vehicle.

Peters' black Ford F-150 hit the stop sticks, deflating the tires but continued to flee until the truck finally stopped in the area of 14800 Parent Road, east of Bruick.

Peters was taken into custody without incident, no property damage or injures were reported as a result of the pursuit.
