FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Fort Wayne weather met country music Tuesday night when Chief Meteorologist Curtis Smith performed on stage with singer Joe Nichols.

Curtis and Nichols performed "Sunny and 75" on the Rusty Spur stage. Curtis made it through, writing the lyrics down on a tiny piece of paper.

"Sunny and 75" topped Billboard's country airplay charts just before Christmas.

The performance was part of K105's St. Jude Heroes Concert. Those in attendance committed a year-long pledge of support to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

K105 and Nichols' publicity team worked together to allow Curtis to sing on stage.

To date, K105 has raised more than $100,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
