HAMILTON, Ind. (21Alive) - Two Hamilton women were injured Monday afternoon in a two-car crash.

Around 4:30, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department says Alyssa Kimmell, 20, was driving northbound in the 1100 block of SR427, left the road, over corrected, crossed the center line and hit a car driven by Christine Workman, 64, head-on.

Kimmell and Workman were both pinned in their vehicles for a time. Kimmell was wearing her seat belt, police say, but Workman was not.

Both were eventually flown to a Fort Wayne hospital.

Workman is listed in critical condition with internal injuries and a broken leg.

No condition for Kimeel was given, though she has a broken ankle and possible chest injuries.
