Judge Declines to Dismiss Charges Against John Edwards

According to the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer, a federal judge in North Carolina on Thursday declined to dismiss the criminal charges filed against former presidential candidate John Edwards.

Edwards, who is accused of violating campaign finance laws, had sought to have the charges dismissed. A trial has been scheduled for January, according to the Observer report.
