MARION, Ind. (21Alive) - A Grant County teenager was sentenced to 65 years in prison Tuesday after admitting to killing a woman in March.

Matthew Tyra, 18, pleaded guilty to the murder of Ashley Rheam, 25 in Grant County Courts.

As part of the plea agreement, a robbery charge was dismissed.

Police say Rheam's roommate came home and found Rheam's body on Mar. 16. Gas City police had been called to Rheam's home earlier in the morning on reports the home was burglarized.

Tyra would eventually be charged with Rheam's murder, and agreed to the plea deal ahead of the January trial.
