FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - A New Haven woman was critically wounded Wednesday night in a shooting in on Warsaw Street in Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne Police Department says around 8:00, Jaleisa Veazey, 24, and a man were sitting in a car in the 4500 block of Warsaw St., when a dark-colored SUV pulled up along side their vehicle and opened fire.

Veazey was hit multiple times, police say. She was taken to a hospital.

The man was not injured. He was questioned by police about the shooting.
