The trial of Conrad Murray, the doctor charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of music icon Michael Jackson, begins today in California.
Murray is accused of injecting Jackson with the surgical anesthetic propofol and causing his death. According to the Los Angeles Times, Murray's attorneys have suggested Jackson may have injected or drunk the lethal dose himself.
If convicted, Murray faces four years in prison and the loss of his medical license, the story says.
