FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Days after Ball State University announced it will not renew its charter with three Fort Wayne charter schools, parents are holding meetings about the future of their children's education.

Imagine Schools on Broadway held a meeting Monday night. Hours before, Frank Gallucci, the president of the school board, released a letter saying it will appeal Ball State's decision to end the charter school agreement.

"Our 'F' rating on the ISTEP exam administered in April of 2012 is attracting the most attention," Gallucci says. "It was this measure that apparently prompted Ball State's decision to not renew our charter."

Ball State announced Tuesday it would not renew the charter sponsorship of Imagine Schools on Broadway, Imagine MASTER Academy and Timothy L. Johnson of Fort Wayne. Four other schools in Indiana were given the same fate.
