Arrest Made In One Apartment Robbery Investigation

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The Fort Wayne Police Department has made an arrest in one of the apartment complex robberies within the last two weeks.

Devonte Hamlet, 20, of Fort Wayne, has been charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and three counts of criminal confinement.

Police say on just after 10 p.m. on Jan. 10, Hamlet and another suspect followed a woman into her apartment robbed at the Island Club complex, 8709 Gulf Dr., bound the woman and other residents inside the apartment, stole several items and fled.

Police detectives remind the public to stay vigilant as the investigation continues in all 13 apartment complexes since Jan. 7.
