FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - An estimated 93.3 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more for Christmas, AAA reports.

The agency reports 90 percent of those heading out of town will travel by car, while 4.5 percent will fly.

Flyers at Fort Wayne International Airport said the hustle-and-bustle of holiday travel is well worth it.

"It's Christmastime! It's good to be with family," Carol Mahara of Juneau, Alaska, said. "there's a lot of people that just travel to visit family on the off season."

Travel agents recommend giving a cell phone number to the airlines ahead of time, so you can be contacted with potential flight delays or cancelations.
