NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A Ligonier man was critically injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash along State Road 9.

Quinn Groff, 16, of Ligonier, was turning left from State Road 9 to County Road 850N around 4 p.m., when Teddy Martin, 54, crashed his Corvette into a Groff's pick-up truck.

Police say Martin was trying to pass a line of cars along State Road 9, when the crash happened. The vehicles came to rest in a cornfield, with Groff's truck on top of Martin's Corvette.

Police say the crash started a fire, but everyone got out before authorities arrived.

Martin was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Groff was uninjured. Two passengers in Groff's truck, Harley N. Beechy, 19, and Carter P. Schrock, 25, both of Millersburg, were also not injured.
